How to Fix Bad Reception in your Basement!

It’s not uncommon to lose a cellular signal once you go below ground. It all comes down to the fact that these signals get weaker with each obstacle in their way. In a basement, signals have to make their way through a considerable amount of reinforced concrete, insulation and other materials like wire mesh and metal. In some cases, basements will degrade a signal by a factor of 10 to 100.

An easy way to solve the problem is a smart signal booster. It’s designed to capture the weak signal that reaches a building, improve it and retransmit it indoors. The Cel-Fi Smart Signal Booster performs much better than traditional signal boosters by using very powerful and advanced technology. In fact, performance testing shows it works up to 1,000 times better than the industry average.

We designed Cel-Fi so that it would be easy to install. Simply place the window unit where your phone receives at least one or two bars of signal. (If you’re like most of our customers, you’ll know exactly where that spot is as it’s probably in an area where the carpet or floor is noticeably worn!) You can then place the coverage unit centrally in the basement (or in an area where coverage is specifically required). The window unit and coverage unit then communicate wirelessly, making the installation incredibly easy and ensuring you’re up and running with an indoor signal in your basement in just minutes.
