Award Program’s ‘Everything Intelligent’ category recognizes exceptional network developments, including innovations focused on in-building wireless solutions
SAN DIEGO – September 13, 2016 – Nextivity Inc. today announced that the Cel-Fi GO Smart Signal Booster® won third place in the 10th annual CTIA Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards in the category of Everything Intelligent. Specifically, Cel-Fi GO was recognized in the In-Building Wireless (Small Cell, WiFi, and LAN) sub-category.
The CTIA E-Tech Awards recognize excellence in mobile products and services that transform networks, businesses, smart cities, and connected consumers. Winners were announced on September 8, 2016 during a live awards ceremony at CTIA Super Mobility 2016 in Las Vegas.
Cel-Fi GO is a 3G/4G smart signal booster that addresses the issue of poor cellular coverage for nomadic applications. Using Nextivity’s award winning technology to provide up to 100 dB of signal gain (1,000x more than the industry average), it is the first device on the market to enable clear and reliable cellular coverage for mobile subscribers on the move, whether in a car, a marine vessel, or mobile home.
As a carrier-specific solution, Cel-Fi GO eliminates interference, unconditionally protecting the operator’s network. It offers significant data throughput improvements (up to 4X) for HSPA+ or 4G LTE cellular networks.
Cel-Fi GO will soon be available in Australia for Telstra subscribers, and is scheduled for release in the United States in early 2017.
