Nextivity today announced that effective August 1st, Michiel Lotter, PhD will be taking over the reins at Nextivity, succeeding CEO Werner Sievers, who has captained the company for the past 15 years. “Michiel has led the product development of the CEL-FI product family since Nextivity’s early days as a startup, and I have been fortunate to partner with him in multiple ventures for more than 20 years,” said Sievers. “We have developed a strong global team that continues to lead the industry and deliver the most innovative middleprise wireless communication solutions demanded by an ever-changing regulatory and commercial market. Our distributor, integrator, and reseller partners continue to prosper because of their wins centered around CEL-FI solutions.”

Sievers will continue to serve the Company as an advisor and Chairman Emeritus as Nextivity continues to forge its cellular coverage and public safety solutions across the globe to both mobile operators and channel partners. The Company’s award-winning products include the CEL-FI QUATRA line of enterprise solutions, CEL-FI GO and CEL-FI SOLO mobile and residential solutions, and CEL-FI QUATRA RED public safety solutions. “I am honored by the confidence that Werner and Nextivity’s board has entrusted in me and look forward to taking on this new opportunity,” said Lotter. “Werner has been a leader in this industry for nearly 40 years and a mentor to me. I look forward to continuing to work with him, our board, and our brilliant team as we grow Nextivity and take on some exciting new challenges around 5G and the continued expansion of the CEL-FI product line.”

“Our advancements with 5G, fiber, cloud-based solutions, and public safety in the last three years have positioned us well for the future,” added Lotter, “Nextivity is an innovation company and everything we do is centered on solving our customers’ problems in the most innovative ways possible. This ethos will continue to drive us as we take on the challenges and opportunities brought on by 5G rollouts. Plus, we have several projects in development and look forward to bringing many more industry-leading, game-changing products to market in the coming months and years.”
